Objectives of the Course

Identification of microorganisms in our environment, cultured in the laboratory and learning the basic practical microbiology techniques

Course Content

Learning to obtain pure cultures, isolation, staining, techniques of preparing culture media of microorganisms and determine ways to control microorganisms

6.To learn simple staining, gram staining, endospore staining methods
7.To learn the reproduction methods of microorganisms in solid and liquid media.
8.To learn biochemical testing methods of microorganisms
9.To learn catalase test, carbohydrate fermentation test methods
10.Learning H2S Production and IMVIC test methods
11.To learn the effects of chemical and physical factors on microorganisms
12.To learn antibiotic sensitivity testing methods
13.To learn the culture of anaerobic microorganisms
