Objectives of the Course

To comprehend the importance of experiment in the field of physics, to examine experimental methods in practice and to be able to perform measurements and calculations of some basic concepts such as force, velocity, electrical force and electrical potential.

Course Content

The methods of studying in the laboratory, the motions of bodies under the the effects of different forces, observing the relation between force, acceleration and distance, creating relation between theory and experiment, electric force, electrostatic potential.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be Able to gain the purpose and skills of experimenting in the laboratory,
2.To be able to establish the link between theoretical concepts and practical applications
3.Be able to say and measure the properties of gravitational acceleration and force
4.Be able to measure the spring constant of spring pendulums
5.Be able to show that uniform circular motion is accelerated motion and explain the properties of centripetal force
6.Be able to tell the characteristics of the force between two objects crashing each other and what impulse is, and explain why momentum is conserved.
7.To be able to express and calculate Coulomb’s Force on different charge systems.
8.To be able to understand the relation between electric field and electrostatic potential
9.Ability to interpret data obtained from experiments and report the results
