Objectives of the Course

The primary aim of the Urban Entomology course is to focus on understanding and studying insect populations living in urban environments. In this context, the course provides students with the opportunity to examine in detail the biodiversity in urban ecosystems and the impact of insects on urban life.

Course Content

The Urban Entomology course is a discipline focused on identifying and managing different insect groups in urban environments. This course aims to equip students with the skills to evaluate biodiversity in urban ecosystems, recognize harmful and beneficial insect species, and apply principles of environmental sustainability. Additionally, the course covers understanding the effects of insects on human health and safety and learning methods to minimize the impact of pests. This comprehensive approach aims to provide students with the ability to manage urban ecosystems sustainably and balanced.
