To understand the structure, functions and importance of biomolecules that make up living things in metabolism.
Structure and functions of carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids, bioenergetic principles, metabolism of biomolecules, glycolysis, pentose phosphate pathway, Krebs and glyoxylate cycle, oxidation of fatty acids, oxidation of amino acids and urea cycle, oxidative phosphorylation.
