| Prof. Muhammet Emin GÜNAY |
| 1. | Prepares solutions at different concentrations, knows colligative properties. |
| 2. | Finds the rate law expression of a reaction and calculates the rate constant k, describes the role of activation energy in determining the rate of a reaction, and understands reaction mechanisms and how they give rise to rate laws. |
| 3. | Calculates chemical equilibrium concentrations and equilibrium constant K, knows the factors affecting equilibrium, and uses Le Chatelier's principle. |
| 4. | Knows acid-base definitions, calculates pH and pOH values, knows the common ion effect and applies it to hydrolysis problems, knows the concept of buffer solution and calculates pH-pOH, knows neutralization reactions, and draws titration curves. |
| 5. | Understands the solubility product expressions and calculate the Kçç in chemical calculations, and know the criteria of collapse and complete collapse. |
| 6. | Understands thermodynamic functions, enthalpy, entropy, and free energy and calculations, predicts whether the reaction is spontaneous at various temperatures, and uses ?G to calculate K values. |
| 7. | Knows how to equate oxidation-reduction reactions, writes half- and general cell reactions, calculates standard and non-standard cell potentials, knows and applies the Nernst equation and uses it in problems, and knows the relationship between Ehcell, ?G, and Kd. |
| 8. | Recognize coordination compounds, identify ligand and donor atoms, determine the coordination number and oxidation step of the metal and complex ion charge, and nomenclature coordination compounds. |
| 9. | Recognize organic compounds: alkane, alkene, alkyne, and aromatic hydrocarbons nomenclature them, and know the functional groups. |
| 10. | Uses chemistry knowledge correctly in the courses and laboratories in the following years, understands the applications of chemistry in daily life, and follows the developments in the chemical industry with the knowledge acquired. |
