Objectives of the Course

To instruct learners the fundamentals of analytical chemistry and to give knowledge about qualitative and quantitative methods of analysis and their applications

Course Content

Introduction of gravimetric methods, Aims and applications of gravimetric analysis, Calculation of result from gravimetric analysis,Volumetric methods of analysis, Indicators in volumetric analysis, Indicator errors, Theory of neutralization titrations, Acid-base equilibria, pH calculations, Buffer solutions, Analysis of acidimetric-alkalimetric mixtures; Titration curves of neutralization reactions, Theory and applications of redox titrations, Essentials of potentiometric titrations, Complexometric titrations: EDTA titrimetry in single, binary and ternary mixtures, Precipitation titrations.
