Objectives of the Course

To assist learners to gain general knowledge of vector spaces, and help them to examine systems of linear equation using the matrice approach.

Course Content

Matrices, systems of linear equations, vector spaces, subspaces, products and direct products of subspaces, linear dependency-independency, base, dimensions, linear transformations, algebra of linear transformations, representation of linear transformations by matrices, linear functionals.

1.To be able to do matrix operations (summation, multiplication, finding inverse etc.), solve systems using matrices
2.To be able to prove some propositions and solve linear equations about matrices
3.To be able to solve problems about linear transformations
4.To be able to explain the given transformations through matrix
5.To be able to comprehend the concept of space in analytic geometry, analysis and toplogy classes
