Objectives of the Course

To ensure that students learn the concepts of force, speed and acceleration, the importance of experiment in science and methods of experimenting by trying them.

Course Content

Learning the methods of studying in the laboratory, the investigation of motions of bodies under the the effects of different forces and observing the relation between force, acceleration and distance, to be able to see relation between theory and experiment. Electrical charges, electric field and electric potential and relation between them, Direct current, Relationship between electric current and magnetism.

Learning Outcomes
1.Understand the purpose of experimentation in the laboratory and gain the ability the experimentation
2.To be able to establish the link between theoretical concepts and practical applications,
3.Be able to say and measure the properties of gravitational acceleration and force,
4.Be able to measure the spring constant of spring pendulums
5.Be able to show that uniform circular motion is accelerated motion and explain the properties of centripetal force
6.Be able to tell the characteristics of the force between two objects crashing each other and what impulse is, and explain why momentum is conserved
