This course aims to introduce students with some current theoretical approaches; to evaluate and analyze current theoretical approaches. This course aims to provide students with some basic skills such as critical and analytical thinking.
Pierre Bourdieu: Culture, Capital, Habitus and Theory of Field; Jurgen Habermas and Modernity; Anthony Giddens and theory of structuration; Manuel Castells: theory of network society; Richard Sennett and The culture of the new capitalism; David Harvey: Postmodernism and Space.
