Objectives of the Course

To have knowledge about the prominent figures of the Tanzimat Period and to be able to analyze the prominent texts of this period.

Prominent figures of the Tanzimat Period such as Şinasi, Namık Kemal, Ziya Pasha, Sadullah Pasha, Şemsettin Sami and their prominent works

1.To have information about the prominent figures of Tanzimat Period literature and their prominent works.
2.To understand Şinasi's place in Turkish literature and to analyze his prominent works according to certain criteria.
3.To understand Namık Kemal's place in Turkish literature and to analyze his prominent works according to certain criteria.
4.To understand Ziya Paşa's place in Turkish literature and to analyze his prominent works according to certain criteria.
