Objectives of the Course

To examine and evaluate the sources and development process of the Turkish minstrel tradition.

Course Content

The sources and emergence of the minstrel tradition, the development and change process of the minstrel tradition from the 15th century to the present, representatives of minstrel literature from the past to the present and examples of their works, the stages of a minstrel's development within the minstrel tradition, the oral performance environments of the minstrel tradition and some application examples.

3.Gets information about important bards and their works from past to present.

5.Gains knowledges about the oral performance environments and performance of the minstrel tradition.
