Objectives of the Course

To make collections with reference to Turkish folk literature; to present these collections and to make evaluations.

Course Content

Compilations are field studies of folk literature studies. These field studies enable practical learning of folk culture. Compiling, presenting and evaluating the compilations based on the knowledge gained in the field of Turkish Folk Literature teaches the student studying folk literature to provide data from the field

Learning Outcomes
1. To be able to acquire new knowledge, concepts about Turkish folk literature within the area of collections and to gain an insight about understanding new types of knowledge and concepts
2.To be able to make use of sources about new sources regarding collections and to gain abilities to use these sources within the framework of scientific criteria.
3.To be able to classify, analyze, criticize, interpret the knowledge about the Turkish folk narrative in the world of knowledge and ideas.
4.To be able to recognize the scientific methods through collections within the area of the Turkish folk literature; to gain an insight for applying these into understanding the relevant data
5.To be able to explain types of knowledge in Turkish folk literature and to gain the ability for doing a graduate degree
6. To be able to have moral responsibility along with the consciousness of responsibility in terms of using the attained knowledge in making collections
7.To be able to transmit the knowledge in the Turkish folk literature into other disciplinary practices; to gain the ability and confidence to upscale the knowledge.
