Objectives of the Course

To be able to follow the development of the poetry genre in the Republican period. To have information about the important names and works of Turkish poetry of the Republican period.

Course Content

General characteristics and prominent figures of Turkish poetry of the Republican Era, analysis of selected poems of these figures.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to generally evaluate the development of Turkish poetry in the 20th century
2.To be able to evaluate Turkish poetry in the Republican Period in the context of period-literary work relationship.
3.To be able to evaluate prominent figures in Republican Era Turkish literature in the context of period-personality-work.
4.To be able to evaluate the works of prominent poets during the Republic period within a determined analysis plan.
5.To be able to evaluate the relevance of Turkish poetry of the Republican Period to world literature.
