Objectives of the Course

To study literary movements in Western literature and to evaluate the prominent literary works of these movements.

Course Content

An examination of the movements in Western literature from ancient Greek and Latin literature to the mid-19th century and the literary works that stand out within these movements.

Learning Outcomes

1.	Learning basic concepts such as art, literature, art movement, literary movement
2.	To learn about the general characteristics of literary movements
3.	To have knowledge about ancient Greek and Latin literatures and medieval Western literature.
4.	Learning the emergence processes of Humanism, Classicism, Romanticism and Realism movements and their principles reflected in literature.
5.	To be able to examine the literary works that stand out within the scope of Humanism, Classicism, Romanticism and Realism movements within the scope of the principles of the relevant literary movements.
