Objectives of the Course

To understand the spread of Islam ampng the Turks, the political, economic and the social formation of the first Turkish states and their place in the history of Turco-Islamic History.

Course Content

The first relations between the Turks and the Arabs, the first attempts of occupation to the Turks in the time of Umayyid Empire, War of Talas, the acceptance of the Turks of Islam, Karahanlids and the first Turkish states founded in Egypt will be studied.
