Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to summarize the general lines of Central Asian Turkish history and to evaluate the old times of the Turks.

Course Content

The history of the Uighur and Kirghiz Khan, founded in Central Asia after the Hun Empire and The Root-Turk Khan, will be emphasized. In addition, the Turks will be told to shift towards the West.

1.To be able to summarize the general frameworks of Central Asian Turkish history
2.To be able to analyse the general framework of Central Asian Turkish history
3.To be able to understand the political history of Turkish states that were established in Central Asia
4.To be able to analyse the Turks’ social, political, religious and economical living in Central Asia
5.The effect of the Turkish States established in Central Asia on the Turkish states to be established later.
