Objectives of the Course

Analysing histories of the Principalities which were emerged following the disintigration of Anatolian Seljuks (Sultanate of Rum), understanding structure of Anatolia in that period and under which conditions that are Ottoman State was founded.

Learning Outcomes
1.Being able to know that following the Turkish victory at Manzikert Battle Anatolia became homeland of the Turks.
2.Being able to grasp political events at the stage of foundation of Anatolian Seljuks State in the vicinity of Nicaea.
3.Being able to get information about Turkish qonquests in Anatolia and Turkish struggles against the Byzantium.
4.Being able to grasp Crusades which were directed to Anatolia and importance of these expeditions with regard to Türkish and international histories.
5.Being able to get information about struggles between the Anatolian Seljuks and Seljuk Empire and neigbouring states.
