Objectives of the Course

Teaching the process of establishment of colonial empires. Evaluate the logic of an historian, trauma of the the exploited peoples experienced in this process. To understand the fact that colonialism has to change shape.

General political and economic situation in Europe prior to the geographical discoveries and examine the causes of geographical discoveries.

Colonial activities in the 15. and 16. centuries: Establishment of colonial empires of Spain and Portugal.
