Objectives of the Course

In this course, Turks in Central Asian Textile Civilization; Textile activities in the period of Principalities; XVIII. Ottoman textile trade and industry until the second half of the century; 1740 production and trade of textile raw materials; Important textile centers; Textile products. In the form of silk, cotton and wool in three different sectors to be informed about the development.

Course Content

Ancient textile production. Textiles in the Middle Ages . the textile industry in New Age . Industrial Revolution. Steam machine. Textiles and England. competition in the textile industry. Ottoman weaving and textile industry . textile industry in Bursa and Denizli city. Tanzimat period of the Ottoman textile industry . The first Ottoman weaving mills. Second Constitutional Era of the Ottoman textile industry .
