Objectives of the Course

This course aims to teach critical thinking and writings, the analysis and evaluation of an argumant, thereby developing critical thinking and writings skills.

Course Content

Learning the structure and techniques of critical thinking and reasoning. Expressing the sound and reliable arguments of attitudes, beliefs and claims about the world. The structure of valid and sound reasonings. Tha analysis of common fallacies in arguments. Critically examining arguments made in various disciplines. Informal and formal logical fallacies.

1.Understanding the logical structure of arguments in various disciplines.
2.Analyzing a reasoning in terms of its strength and weakness, validity and soundness.
3.Recognizing common fallacies in reasoning.

5.Recognizing and explaining errors and success of the reasoning process using the principles of formal and informal reasoning.
