Teaching the concepts of chemical kinetics, equilibrium, equilibrium in aqueous media, properties of acids and bases, buffer solutions, acid-base reactions, neutralization reactions and titrations, chemical thermodynamics, basic electrochemistry and nuclear chemistry, as well as providing the ability to apply chemical knowledge and concepts to the solution of chemical problems. In this course, besides acids and bases, types of solutions, concentration units and numerical properties are explained. Basic principles of chemical equilibrium, chemical kinetics and thermodynamics are also taught. It ends with a section examining redox reactions, batteries, corrosion, electrolysis, basic principles of electrochemistry and nuclear chemistry.
