Objectives of the Course

Scientific research methods and techniques, applied to the study of works of art by explaining the methods and techniques in line with those of students in the field of small arts, studies and research, are expected to be worked on. Using the methods and techniques learned in this way, the skills and experience will be increased.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to identify the works that will be examined in the field of Art History.
2.To be able to do some research about the document and source of the works in accordance with the methodology of art history
3.To be able to transform their thoughts and observations about the works under review into scientific paper.
4.Gain the ability to examine the works of art history on the spot.
5.Gain skills such as photographing, measuring and drawing.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week 1 - Theoretical
History of Art and Art History, science, the definition of science, the historical development of research techniques.
Week 2 - Theoretical
development process of the research of History of Art in the Islamic and Turkish world
Week 3 - Theoretical
The study will be the subject of the work or works to identify the architectural.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Archival research on the subject, the bibliography to scan and catalog the preparation of the necessary information explaining.
Week 5 - Theoretical
Explanation of the legal procedure to follow in relation to the subject of research. All data obtained from the document and explain the use of the information in accordance with Art History Methodology.
Week 6 - Theoretical
Detected on-site review of the architectural works of scientific methods (Photography, diskripsiyon subtraction, survey taking, istampaj and so on.)
Week 7 - Theoretical
Midterm Exam (Evaluation of the materials obtained and the data collected)
Week 8 - Theoretical
Introducing the materials to be used in field studies (Camera, Measuring instruments, etc.)
Week 9 - Theoretical
Architectural works in the city center on the research and review work.
Week 10 - Theoretical
Environment on the architectural works in cities and towns, research and review work.
Week 11 - Theoretical
Environment on the architectural works in cities and towns, research and review work
Week 12 - Theoretical
All the obtained data, documents and information in accordance with the evaluation of methodologies for Art History II.
Week 13 - Theoretical
All the obtained data, documents and information in accordance with the evaluation of methodologies for Art History I.
Week 14 - Theoretical
All the obtained data, documents and information in accordance with the evaluation of methodologies for Art History III.
