Objectives of the Course

It is aimed in this course to make students read simple printed Ottoman texts; analyse different types of handwritings.

Course Content

Presentation of letters used in Ottoman paleography; writing the types of the letters; writing the types of Turkish suffixes; Arabic influences in Ottoman language; texts from the modern Turkish literature.
