The aim of this course is to introduce the macro-linguistics fields to the students; to inform them on the studies that are carried out in these filelds and to enable them to carry out a study on one of such fields.
The definition, scope and history of Applied Linguistics; the discussion of some basic concepts in linguistics; the presentation and analysis of language based problems.
