To comprehend the importance of Hadith and Sunnah and its role in the construction of Islamic Civilization, to get information about history of Hadith before and after Tadwin, narrators, sources, methods, literature and problems of Hadith, to learn the arguments that Orientalists and opponents of Hadith based on and it’s answers.
The position of the Prophet (pbuh), the importance of Hadith and Sunnah is emphasized. The Tadwin (collection) and Tasnif (classification) periods of Hadith history and the formation of the Ahl al-Hadith and Ahl al-Ra'y schools are discussed. The basic Hadith sources known as Kutub al-Sittah are introduced with their characteristic features. The arguments that Orientalists and opponents of Hadith based on and it’s answers are analyzed.
