Objectives of the Course

To ensure that the student, who acquires basic information about Methodology in the "History and Methodology of Hadidth" lectures, has detailed information about the Literature (Hadith Collections) built on the Methodolgy, and has experience about the techniques of understanding and interpreting the Hadiths.

Course Content

Through sample Hadith texts selected from the main Hadith sources, to process the commands, prohibitions, recommendations and advice of the Prophet (pbuh) by means of expounding and to gain experience in reading the texts, to memorize short Hadith texts with their meanings.

Learning Outcomes
1.Determines the importance of Hadith and Sunnah and their role in the construction of Islamic Culture and Civilization
2.Develops a more sensitive attitude towards adherence to the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh)
3.Determines important criterias about the place of Hadith books in the history of Islamic science and culture, the duties and responsibilities of Muhaddiths, and the methods of reading Hadith
4.Increases Hadith analysis ability by reading and interpreting selected Hadith texts from Nawawi's work called Riyadh al-Saliheen
5.Develops the awareness of belonging and takes responsibility by realizing the importance of devotion to the Book and the Sunnah in terms of the world conjuncture
