To comprehend the importance of Hadith and Sunnah and its role in the construction of Islamic Culture and Civilization, to recognize the basic concepts of Hadith Methodology and Hadith sciences, to obtain technical informations about Hadith in terms of methodology and procedure, to learn the arguments that Orientalists and opponents of Hadith based on and it’s answers.
The position of the Prophet (pbuh), the importance of Hadith and Sunnah, the basic concepts of the Hadith Methodology, the concepts related to Sanad-Matn and Narrators, the types of “Weak (Da’eef) Hadith” and the issue of acting upon Weak Hadith; the reasons, types, ways of recognition, harms of fabricating (Mawdoo’) hadiths and books written on this subject are examined with examples. The arguments that orientalists and opponents of Hadith based on and their answers are discussed.
