The work called el-Lüm'a by Ebû Nasr Serrâc (d. 378/988), which is considered one of the oldest existing works of Sufism, will be read and commented on in comparison with other Sufi works written in the same period. In this respect, it is aimed to provide information about the Sufi stratum, terminologies, issues and legislation of the fourth century Hijri and before by considering the content of the works written in the earliest period of Sufism.
In this lesson, in the work called el-Lüm'a; Definition of Sufism, Definitions, Its Place Among Islamic Sciences, Origin of the Word Sufi, Ilm-i Bâtın, Tawhid-Muvahhid, Definition of Marifet-Arif, Maqams, States, Methods of Sufis to Understand, Apply and Make Rulings on the Quran and Hadiths, Adab, Concepts of Sufism, Semâ', Ecd, Miracle, Shatahat and Mistakes of Those Who Pretend to Be Sufis Will Be Discussed and Commented on.
