Objectives of the Course

This course aims to analyze the political decision-making processes of states and international actors, the distribution of power, transformations in the international system and political developments at the regional/global level. Students are provided with the tools to analyze international politics through theoretical approaches.

Course Content

The course informs students about state and non-state actors in international relations, international law and organizations and diplomacy and international political economy.

1.Define the concepts of international politics and the main actors
2.To be able to analyze concepts such as power, interest, sovereignty and diplomacy
3.Compare different foreign policy strategies
4.Evaluate security, wars, peace, terrorism, and diplomatic negotiation processes through examples
5.Interpret current global developments with theoretical perspectives.
