The course aims to enable students to assess the contributions and shortcomings of both mainstream and critical IR theories and to present how theory provides a road map, toolset or lens by which to examine international events and processes.
The course studies how mainstream and critical theories conceptualize ‘the international relations’ as a field of study. Also the course studies the co-constitutive relationship between the theory and practice of international relations.
