Objectives of the Course

Acquiring the participant with reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar skills of B1+ level of CEFR.

Consists of CEFR B1+ level activities of reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar.

Week 1 - Theoretical

Introduction to the Course

Week 2 - Theoretical

Modals of obligation, describing a sport or game, reading an article about snowwball fighting, listening for main or supporting ideas, giving a persuasive talk

Week 3 - Theoretical

Present perfect continuous, had to, needed to, talking about hobbies and free time activities, listening to a radio programme, reading for identifying tone, A

Week 4 - Theoretical

Expressing an opinion, video activity about different types of food, writing a magazine article, introductory clauses

Week 5 - Theoretical

Modals of speculation and deduction, phrasal verbs, adjectives describing food, reading for hidden contrasts, listening to a conversation at a dinner party, describing a dish

Week 6 - Theoretical

Comperatives and superlatives, vocabulary about waste, reading a food fad blog, listening for identifying opinions, talking about reducing food waste at home

Week 7 - Theoretical

Making suggestions, video activity about a problem, writing a reply in an online discussion forum, comparing and recommending

Week 8 - Theoretical

Relative clauses, vocabulary on creative thinking, reading about a Canadian inventor, listening for problems and solutions, talking about creating a website
