Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to help students undertand Turkey’s general geographical features and recognize periods of history and prehistory civilizations living in the Anatolia and to ensure the students to have an information about the provinces according to the regions.

Course Content

General geography of Turkey, residential area of archeological and the first civilizations in Anatolia, and analysis the data on the historic and touristic according to the provinces.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to name and express a general knowledge about the geography of Turkey.
2.To be able to tell and summarize about the features of decisive periods of prehistoric Anatolia cycles.
3.To be able to recognize the establishment of the first civilization in Anatolia , their geographic location and historical data.
4.To be able to express the Hellenistic and Roman periods.
5.To be able to have in-depth knowledge about the ancient cities of the Aegean Region.
