Objectives of the Course

To study literary movements in Western literature and to evaluate the prominent literary works of these movements.

Examination of the prominent movements of Western literature in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Learning Outcomes
1.To learn about the art and literature movements that were active in the West in the 19th and 20th centuries.
2.To have basic theoretical knowledge about Naturalism, Parnassism, Symbolism, Impressionism, Expressionism movements.
3.To have basic theoretical knowledge about Cubism, Futurism, Dadaism, Letrism, Surrealism, Existentialism, Postmodernism movements.
4.To to be able to evaluate the literary works that stand out within the scope of Naturalism, Parnassianism, Symbolism, Impressionism, Expressionism movements according to the prominent theoretical criteria of the relevant movements.
5.To be able to evaluate the literary works that stand out within the scope of Cubism, Futurism, Dadaism, Lettrism, Surrealism, Existentialism, Postmodernism movements according to the theoretical criteria of the relevant movements.
