Definition of “feed additive”. Classification of feed additives and explaining the aim of their usage. To teach that feed additives have beneficial effects such as improving animal performance, increasing product quality and marketing power. To get students to comprehened the importance of feed additives which has been considered to be a significant part of modern animal nutrition. Explaining the relationships between “the feed additive cost in feed costs” and “increased performance” terms. Giving information about the economic side of using feed additive.
Definition, characteristics and classification of feed additives, vitamins and minerals, amino acids, preserved proteins and fats, antifungals, adsorbents, substances related to feed production and resistance, performance enhancing substances, substances affecting animal health.
