Objectives of the Course

To teach lameness examination, treatment of fractures and dislocation, ophtalmic diseases, diseases of muscle, tendon, tendovagina and bursa on clinical cases Gynecological examination techniques, interpretting both clinical and laboratory findings and preparing of students to clinical lectures in gynecology and obstetrics field By interpretting of general and special examination techniques with system examination, clinical and lab. examination, preparing of students to clinical lectures in internal medicine field Can perform examination on muscles, tendons, bursae, tendovagina

Learning Outcomes

1.	To be able to examine an animal with lameness problem.
2.	To be able to perform necessary examination and treatment of fracture and dislocation
3.	To be able to perform diagnosis and treatment of diseases of eyelids, cornea, conjunctiva, iris, lens and anterior chamber
4.	To be able to perform examination on muscles, tendons, tendovagina and bursa
5.	To be able to perform examination on gynecological diseases on different species
6.	To be able to diagnose gynecological diseases by interpreting clinical findings
7.	To be able to perform general and specific examination animals for internal medicine diseases
8.	To be able to perform examinations on systems, evaluate and interpret various examination findings, and diagnose and different diagnose.
9.	To be able to interpret clinical findings with laboratory findings, specific for systems

Week 1 - Practice

Biosecurity practices and examination of lameness

Week 2 - Practice

Examination of fractures and dislocatios

Week 3 - Practice

Examination of eyes, eyelids, cornea, conjunctiva, iris, lens and anterior chamber

Week 4 - Practice

Examination of muscles, tendons, tendovagina and bursae

Week 5 - Practice

Ophtalmic operations, operations on eyelids, entopium and ectropium operation, operations on palpebra tertia, surgical approaches on corneal scars, cataract operations, operations of eye tumors

Week 6 - Practice

Gynecologically evaluation of and performing the applications on application cart to patient (identificiation, history, inspection, palpation, injection, probing)

Week 7 - Practice

Gynecologically evaluation of and performing the applications on application cart to patient (body temperature control, inspection of the genital organs)

Week 8 - Practice

Gynecologically evaluation of and performing the applications on application cart to patient (examination of the breast and the lymph system, vaginoskopi, vaginal cytology, visual diagnostic methods, etc.)

Week 9 - Practice

Gynecologically evaluation of and performing the applications on application cart to patient (operation techniques)

Week 10 - Practice

Gynecologically evaluation of and performing the applications on application cart to patient (rectal palpation and breast control in large animal)

Week 11 - Practice

Systemically evaluation of and performing the applications on application cart to patient (identificiation, habitus, history, inspection, palpation, auscultation, percussion, probing, smell)

Week 12 - Practice

Systemically evaluation of and performing the applications on application cart to patient (Custom Inspection Methods: microscopic examination, diagnostic surgery, endoscopy, video diagnostic methods, etc.)

Week 13 - Practice

Systemically evaluation of and performing the applications on application cart to patient body temperature control, examination of the lymph system, examination of the visible mucous membranesi, skin examination: hair cloth, skin color, moisture, odor and elasticity of the skin lesions: itching, swelling, edema, emphysema, tissue loss-sores, dermatitis)

Week 14 - Practice

Systemically evaluation of and performing the applications on application cart to patient ( Examination of the respiratory system: pharynx, larynx, trachea, lungs, pleural cavity examination, pulse rate, heart auscultation, percussion, Veins control, control in reflexes)
