Objectives of the Course

Teaching the students statistical basic concept and knowledge , use of statistic in the area of medical science, the principles of significance tests

Course Content

Description of the statistics and the biostatistics, basic concepts related to statistics, frequency distributions, descriptive criteria for the distributions means, standard deviation, standard error, variance, variation coefficient, tables and figures, theoretical distributions, sampling methods, significance tests, correlation and regression analysis.

1.To be able to conceive statistical terms and concepts
2.To be able to interpret the results of statistical assessment related to medical sciences
3.To be able to have basic information necessary for lessons in which mathematical concepts and models are used in later stages of training and educational programme
4.To be able to have basic facilities necessary for the areas demanding statistical information and practice
5.Knows and interprets table and graphic preparation techniques
6.To collect samples and to transfer and/or store them in proper conditions, to use proper analysis methods, and to interpret these results
