Objectives of the Course

To have the students gain knowledge and skills about the basis of parasitology, to teach the basic rules, terms and nomenclature of parasitology (protozoan, helminth,arthropod), relationship between host and parasite, their ways of entering and leaving the organism , clinical signs of diseases, causing effects of parasites and preventive measures of parasites.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to define main parasitologic terms and nomenclature
2.To be able to recognize nomenclature of parasitic diseases
3.To be able to express how the parasites enter and leave the host
4.To be able to describe types of parasitism according to host-parasite relationship
5.To be able to interpret development stages, reproduction and transmission of protozoans, helmints and artropods,
6.To be able to identify zoonose parasites
7.To be able to learn how to prevent from parasitic diseases
