To teach general and special examination techniques regarding diseases in different animal species To teach evaluation of various examination results for correct diagnosis, and to compare them within differential diagnosis

General knowledge regarding clinical diagnosis, special references (disease, symptoms, diagnosis etc.)
Week 2 - Theoretical
Fixation of animals, General examination,methods (signalement, temperament, anamnesis, inspection, palpation)
Week 3 - Theoretical
General examination,methods (auscultation, percussion, catheterization, mensuration, smelling)
Week 4 - Theoretical
Specific medical examination techniques (microscopical exam, diagnostic operation, endoscopy, imaging diagnostic techniques, etc.)
Week 5 - Theoretical
Examination of general health status: temperature, diseases with fever.
Week 6 - Theoretical
Medical examination of lymphatic system, lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels.
Week 7 - Theoretical

Examination of the visible mucous membranes

Clinical examination of the skin condition, colour, moistness, smell and elasticity. Lesions of the skin: pruritis, swelling, edema, emphysema, tissue loss, wound, desquamation, inflammation (dermatitis)

Examination of cardiovascular system: pulsation, medical examination of heart (auscultation, percussion, ECG), hematological examination
