Objectives of the Course

To teach morphological features of helminths (trematods, cestods and nematodes) in domestic animals and human To teach biology, epidemiology and pathogenicity of helmints. To gain ability and give information about diagnostic techniques of helmints, treatment and prevention techniques against helminth enfections.

Course Content

Helmint (trematods, cestods and nematodes) species of all domestic animals and humans, diseases caused by helmints, diagnosis and treatment methods of helmint infections.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to comprehend helminths in domestic animals
2.To be able to grasp development status and transmission of trematod, cestod, nematod
3.To be able to define pathological and clinical signs of adults and larvae stages of helminths
4.To be able to express echonomical loses due to helminth infections
5.To be able to apply diagnostic techniques of helmint infections in living and dead animals
6.To be able to apply treatment and prevention techniques against helminth infections
