Objectives of the Course

- Bacterial and mycotic diseases of companion animals other than poultry, especially the epidemiology of these diseases - Sample collection, selection of appropriate laboratory diagnostic tests, interpretation and understanding of test results - Control and vaccination of bacterial and mycotic diseases, and training of students with knowledge on the control of zoonotic diseases - Taking appropriate measures, including recognizing the notifiable, registering and suspicious symptoms of zoonotic diseases and informing the relevant authorities

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to comprehend bacteria that cause diseases in domestic animals and identify the colony and singular morphologic properties of these bacteria
2.To be able to identify the transmission and pathogenesis of the bacteria
3.T be able to know and apply the subjects of collecting, storing and transporting samples for diagnosis in bacterial infections, selecting appropriate diagnostic tests, interpreting and understanding test results.
4.To be able to identify the hygiene rules and vaccines for preventing diseases
5.To be able to take appropriate measures, including recognizing the notifiable, registering and suspicious symptoms of zoonotic diseases and informing the relevant authorities.

Taylorella and Bordotella infections - Taylorella and Bordotella species and their examination by Gram staining, examination of colonies
