The aims of this course are; 1. to inform the students about viruses (morphology, taxonomy, replications mechanism, isolation and identification of viruses), 2. to describe virus infections (Etiological, epidemiological, clinically, pathologically and diagnostically properties of these infections) 3. to inform about strategies for prevention from viral infections 4. to teach zoonotic diseases that is caused by viruses to earn the students ability to practice these virological knowledge
This course focuses on General Virology and Viruses are important for veterinary medicine and also zoonotic viruses.

| 2. | To be able to name diseases, which occur or can arise in Turkey and which are important for animal and public health and in addition for diagnosis and prevention of these infections |
