Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week 1 - Theoretical
The aim of the course content and a short presentation. Information about the source. The importance of foot disease in domestic animals.
Week 2 - Theoretical
Economic importance of foot diseases in cattle, foot anatomy and foot postures in cattle.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Features of hoof in cattle, positions of hoof, care of hoof in cattle, correction of the hoof in cattle. Standing dressing application.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Prevent of foot diseases in diary cattle. Examination of animals in foot diseases. Examinations of foot, radiologic examination.
Week 5 - Theoretical
Diseases of corium ungulae, Chelio-coriitis aseptica, Laminitis, Chelio-coriitis Purulenta, Chelio-coriitis et pododermatitis gangrenosa.
Week 6 - Theoretical
Hoof horn diseases, ulcus solea ungulae, Rusterholz, penetrant object injuries, exungulation. Acut aseptic and purulent inflamation of the foot joint
Week 7 - Theoretical
panaritium, limax.
Week 8 - Theoretical
Congenital anomalies in cattle foot and hoof, infectious diseases associated with foot diseases, foot and mouth diseases, mucous membrane disease. Midterm exam
Week 9 - Theoretical
Horse foot anatomy, equine limb posture, effect of leg and foot structure of a walk, properties at the hoof properly, corrupted hoof forms.
Week 10 - Theoretical
Gait disorders adjective to defects in posture in horses. Foot examination of the animal diseases. Horseshoes.
Week 11 - Theoretical
Hoof horn diseases, penetrant object injuries, exungulation. Corium ungulae diseases, laminitis…
Week 12 - Theoretical
Foot joint inflammation, Ossification of cartilago ungulae, necrosis of cartilago ungulae. Coronary phlegmone, inflammation of the skin.
Week 13 - Theoretical
Foot diseases in small ruminants.
Week 14 - Theoretical
Foot diseases of dogs, cats and poultry.
