Objectives of the Course

To teach morphology and physiology of main cat and dog breeds in Turkey and in the World. To teach rearing systems and care-management subjects in different age periods for cats and dogs

Course Content

General information about cat and dog rearing, classification of breeds. Morphological and physiological traits of cat and dog breeds. Principles of cat and dog care and feeding. Principles of training of cats and dogs.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to name morphology of main cat and dog breeds in Turkey .
2.To be able to name morphology of main cat and dog breeds in the World.
3.To be able to describe physiology of cats and dogs.
4.To be able to apply care-management of cats and dogs beginning from birth.
5.To be able to have main knowledge about cat and dog training.
6.To evaluate the physical, welfare, and nutritional condition of an animal or an animal group and to give some advice to the animal owner or raiser on this context.
