Objectives of the Course

a- To teach restraining, examination and sampling methods in exotic birds, reptiles and rodents grown as pet animals b- To give relevant information regarding diagnostic-treatment procedures and drug application techniques about major diseases on exotic birds, reptiles and rodents grown as pet animals

Respiratory system diseases (pneumonia, rinitis), blister disease, vomiting and watch regürgitasyonla diseases

Turtles: Hipovitaminozis A, bacterial septicemia, infections of flagella, helmintiazis, nefritis, nutritional osteodistrofi, after hibernation anorexia, pneumonia, salmonellosis, antibiotic toxicity

Rabbit, Chinchilla, Hamster, Gerbil and guinea pigs: Bacterial pneumoni and respiratory system diseases, Tyzzer's disease, bacterial enteritis, proliferative ileitis and Campylobacteriosis

Miksomatozis, papillomatozis and fibromatosis, viral hemorrhagic disease in rabbits
Week 13 - Theoretical
Hamster and chinchilla lymphocytic choriomeningitis, cytomegalovirus, and adenovirus in Guinea pigs

Endoparazitizm, coccidiosis, demodikozis, mite, louse and flea infestations, akariazis and pedikülozis various protozoal diseasese, Dermatophytosis, fur balls, rabbit in hipovitaminozis E (muscular dystrophy), Ketosis, and heat stress in guinea pigs hipovitaminozis
