Objectives of the Course

This course aims to help students search appropriate resources comprehensively for the topics they will choose to study, scan various resources, prepare a plan by organizing the information they gather, develop arguments and create sentences that are open for discussion, make impromptu, informative and persuasive speeches on topics in their fields in front of people, make presentations on topics related to their field and be able to answer questions from the audience, participate in discussions on topics in their field and be able to express their thoughts. Moreover, this course helps students to use body language appropriately, to have an effective tone of voice, to have appropriate speed of the speech, and to be aware of all steps before-during-after presentation.

Course Content

The content of the course focuses on Language skills and Presentation skills. Presentation skills covered are building presentation confidence, audio visual aids, delivery, parts of presentation, literature research, and types of visual representation. Giving demonstrations, current events presentations, team presentations, informative presentations, final presentations are the assessment tools of the course.
