Objectives of the Course

Information will be given on the formation of soils engineering behavior in order to provide capability of developing adequate solutions to problems that may be encountered in civil engineering practice.

Course Content

Shear strength of soil. Lateral earth pressure. Design of Retaining Walls. Soil bearing capacity for shallow and deep foundations. Slope stability. Sheet pile walls, excavations, soil liquefaction.
