Objectives of the Course

To examine Turkish, European and World History in New and modern age, to examine the formation process of Western civilization.

Course Content

Important political and social developments in Europe from 1453 to 1914 (geographical discoveries, Renaissance and Reform, Enlightenment, French Revolution, Industrial Revolution, colonialism) , political, economic, cultural and social developments in the world outside the Ottoman Empire during this period; important developments in some parts of the world during the same period (rise of Japan, American War of independence, etc.) )
