Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to understand the basic concepts and facts of political geography and the geopolitical importance of Turkey.

Course Content

The place of political geography in geography science, the use of tools and materials that facilitate spatial analysis and learning; the key elements in the learning of political geography, continents and countries; positioning by using maps with latitude relations and determining the earth forms and natural resources of climate generations; physical factors in political geography; location, climate, vegetation, earth forms, country forms, borders; human; political geography theories (Big Middle East project, civilizational conflict theory, global climate change); political geography theory using geographical features; geopolitics of Turkey; union regions affecting Turkey; political geography regions affecting Turkey (European Union, Middle East, Balkans, Cyprus, Caucasus and Central Asia); political problems affecting Turkey and World.
