Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to make students aware of the integration of instructional technologies to field education and to give information about the role of instructional technologies and materials in learning and teaching.

Historical development of instructional technologies. The importance and place of instructional technologies in communication process. Characteristics of the tools used frequently in teaching Development of materials suitable for achievements Preparing instructional materials using computer technology.

Characteristics of various instructional technologies, the place and use of instructional technologies in teaching process.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Determination of the school or classroom technology needs, planning and execution of appropriate technology, use of instructional technology in the world and Turkey.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Visual design elements and principles, planning of development of two and three dimensional materials through instructional technologies.
Week 5 - Theoretical
Factors affecting teachers' selection of equipment
Week 6 - Theoretical
Development of teaching materials (concept and mind maps, work sheets, event design, overhead transparencies, slides, visual media (VCD, DVD) materials, computer-based tools).
Week 7 - Theoretical
Examination of educational softwares, theoretical knowledge about the evaluation of various teaching materials.
Week 8 - Theoretical
The use of internet in education and the benefits of distance education. (MIDTERM EXAM)

Preparation and presentation of overhead transparencies by students.
