Objectives of the Course

It is aimed to explain and apply basic art elements; to recognize and use different techniques and materials in painting; to develop skills of reception and evaluation of art; to identify the elements of art.

Course Content

Elements and Principles of Art (Art Elements: Line, Color, Shape, Form, Texture, Value (Valor), interspaces (Espase), Principles of Art: Balance, Rhythm, Movement, Contrast, Unity, Emphasis, Case (Motif). Vehicle and the use of equipment, proper use of the technique, review examples of the artist. To ascertain and apply composition construct on art. To experience live and still life on canvas. To make cast and dark color Works. Cast- dark balance, volume knowledge, to apprehend plastic balance principle. To approve and to apply different material. To understand rate-proportion

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to explain main elements of art. To be able to develop the ability to form plastic texture with elements like color, line, form, transaction, rythm, rate, balance , emphasis
2.To be able to recognize and apply the concept and types of construct in painting.
3.To be able to illustrate construct pictures with original compositions by using research and innovational skills
4.To be able to form and illustrate cast and close compositions.
5.To be able to use the principles of opposition and balance, and composition relations in visual art.
6.To be able to form the relation of opposition and balance in light-dark works.

Meeting and introduction to the course syllabus, materials needed, and plastic elements.

Practice on still life by observation. Charcoal drawing exercises.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Practice on still life by observation. Water colours, acrylic exercises.

Practice on oil-colored still life by observation.
